Blue Velvet

Recently I found some great pieces at Providence, my favorite thrift store in town.

Addison took these pictures of me.The dress on the left reminded me of David Lynch (i.e., Blue Velvet, of course, and the blue-green colors in Twin Peaks). You can't really tell from the picture, but the dress has this eerie-yet-lovely black print all over it that looks like tree branches.

And I bought the translucent black shirt I'm wearing in the photo on the right because it reminded me slightly of Meadham Kirchhoff and the clothes I used to sneak out of my older sister's closet in the nineties.

 That snakeskin skirt I'm wearing with the black shirt was also a thrift find.
In addition to these three items, I also got a pair of pink jellies (seen in the "Summer Vibes" post I made recently), a pretty silver-and-gemstone bracelet, and a denim shirt (which I plan to adorn with patches, pins, and paint). And the grand total, tax and all? $20.30. Hell yeah.
